Kampf to Host Shredder Event April 15 in Upper Providence
HARRISBURG-- Rep. Warren Kampf (R-Montgomery/Chester) will hold a shredder event in Upper Providence to give residents of the 157th Legislative District a chance to securely destroy any personal documents that could make them a victim of identity theft.
“Identity theft is an insidious crime that impacts more than 15 million individuals in the United States alone at a cost of more than $50 billion,” Kampf said. “It’s critical that we completely destroy personal records and papers when discarding them.”
The shredder truck will be at 500 Arcola Road in Collegeville
on Saturday, April 15, 10 a.m. to noon.
As before, there will be one rented truck and when the truck is full, the event is over. All shredding will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis, so please plan accordingly.
Residents will be able to destroy any documents that contain personal information, including birth dates, Social Security numbers, bank account information and credit card numbers. Acceptable items include all paper, file folders, notepads, medical records and tax records.
Residents can call Kampf’s office at 610-251-2876 with any questions.
